CHRISTMAS CHEER IS SEEKING SPONSORS FOR 1,500 NEEDY CHILDREN
AND 195 ELDERLY

In our community right now there are people who are not expecting Christmas to be very bright. They may have fallen on hard times. They may be ill, alone, or elderly.  They may be unemployed, unable to work, or unable to walk, and therefore unable to provide Christmas for their children.

Trying to provide for her family on a low paying job, this single mother struggles to make it month-to-month. Her 7-year-old son is on the autism spectrum and has ADHD. He enjoys remote control vehicles, soccer, and sharks. Her 16-year-old son would enjoy body wash/men’s toiletries, an electric shaver, and a remote control vehicle. The boys both need winter clothing, and the family would appreciate food for the holidays.

After returning to work following an unpaid maternity leave, this single mother has been struggling with housing. Her rent increased by 30%, and she suffered major mildew damage from a broken air conditioning unit, resulting in loss of property. She has had to move in with her mother and brother to share expenses, and is seeking assistance to provide Christmas for her two children. The children both need clothing, and a gift card to purchase food for the holiday season would be welcome. Her 6-year-old daughter enjoys things to take apart and put together, dolls with accessories, and a Brite Lite. Her special wish is for a bicycle or scooter. Her 8-month-old son would enjoy teething toys, musical toys, and Mickey Mouse.

She suffers from severe manic depression, and her 13-year-old daughter has depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Without help, this mother will be unable to provide Christmas for her daughters. Her oldest (13) enjoys toiletries, Hello-Kitty-themed jewelry, and a soft blanket or throw. Her middle daughter (11) would enjoy coloring books & crayons, a purse, and toiletries. Her youngest (9) would enjoy baby clothes and bottles for her doll, bracelets, and LED lights. The girls need shirts, pants, underwear and socks. Food for the holidays would be helpful.

Working as a hair care specialist, this single mother is unable to provide the basics for her five children and has nothing left over to provide Christmas gifts. She is suffering from long Covid, and her 2 oldest daughters have eczema and asthma. She would appreciate a gift card to Walmart or a grocery store for holiday food, and her children all need winter clothing. Her 11-year-old daughter would enjoy bath & body products, arts/craft supplies (especially jewelry kits), and a soft throw or blanket. Her 8-year-old daughter would enjoy art/craft supplies, board games, and Play Doh or bubbles. Her 4-year-old daughter would enjoy a doll (Barbie, baby, or LOL), art/craft supplies, and Minnie Mouse. Her 3-year-old and 18-month-old daughters would both enjoy a baby doll, Cocomelon and/or Minnie Mouse items, and educational toys.

Her older daughter (16) enjoys makeup, art & drawing supplies, and basketball.

Both girls need clothes for the winter, and the family would appreciate food for Christmas.

Mom receives no child support and stays home to care for their 3-year-old son. She is bipolar and is seeing a cardiologist due to heart issues. Their 12-year-old son has severe separation anxiety. The family would appreciate a gift card to purchase food and other essentials, and the children all need winter clothing. Their 16-year-old daughter would enjoy bath & body/hair & nails products, a throw or blanket, and a watch. Their 13-year-old son would enjoy a remote control vehicle, Fortnite V-bucks, and Legos. Their 11-year-old son would enjoy a soccer ball, remote control vehicle, and Pokémon. Their 3-year-old son enjoys trucks & cars, Paw Patrol, and blocks.
